Attending Busan Web Design & Development Community Meetup (2)

read previous post in here .

Rick pull out some equipment from his bag such as A4 papers, 4 box of color pencils set, then distribute to all participants. Then he give each participant a paper contains 40 circle shape, he instruct us to draw figure of emoticon.

For creative people, it’s not that hard. But for me it’s challenging, though I almost gave up in the middle, don’t have any idea what to draw next. Finally after 20 minutes, all of us finished drawing emoticon. Another challenge was made by Rick, he asked us to present what we have drawn. Most of us draw facial expression, and Jenniferdraw the most expressive emoticon.

If the first session Rick gave us brief rule what should we draw, in the next session he told us to draw about the future of ourself. What do we imagine for our future should be drawn over the paper. All of us looks puzzled since topics about future always make human think about uncertainity. After time is up, all of us need to present what we’ve drawn.

The last session we divide into two group, then Rick give us several image of product we have to select. The rule is, we will act like present our latest product in front of angel investor. We need to build a story, and draw some image on the paper as a subtitute of PPT slide. Rick gave us time 15 minutes to discuss then we have to present in front of other team.

First team from right to left : Alice, Zack’s wife, and Zack.

After both team finished then we have small talks each other and sadly he said to us that maybe it will be the last meeting because he will move to San Fransisco and will not comeback to South Korea. From this meeting I feels so happy, meet new peoples from different background, share each other experience, and get relaxed from daily routines.
